Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client has a requirement for Multi-Task Attendants to be based in Co. Roscommon. This role includes days, nights, and weekend shift patterns. The hourly rate of pay is €17.59 per hour, with a higher rate for weekends and night duty.
Purpose of the Post
* To provide high quality Multi task attendant services and functions within a healthcare setting
* Be responsible for the cleaning of the environment within a healthcare setting.
* Duties within the catering department
* Be responsible for Portering duties within wards and departments and the safe transfer of patients throughout the hospital
* To perform catering duties within wards and departments throughout the hospital
* To work with the existing team to assist with the preparation and service of meals to patients and staff in the hospital at the required time in accordance with the hospital and statutory standards.
* Assisting healthcare staff in caring for patients
* General cleaning duties.
* Collection and removal of waste material to authorised disposal points.
* Reporting defects or inefficiencies to supervisor
* Working as part of a team and on your own initiative to complete allocated duties.
* Duties assigned to Multi-Task Attendants will vary depending on the care setting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Professional Responsibilities
* Work in an assigned service area which includes Housekeeping, Catering Services and Support Services
* Providing supporting service response relating to fire evacuation and emergency plans as required
* Be contactable at all times when on duty
* Be responsible for undertaking hygiene and environmental duties to required standards in all designated areas and maintain appropriate documentation in line with national and local policies and regulations.
* The agreed standard of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas
* All cleaning requirements are undertaken using the approved cleaning materials and processes
* The appropriate use and care of equipment including floor scrubber and buffer or other equipment as relevant to the role
* Adherence to Health and Safety Guidelines and obligations at all times.
* To undertake mortuary related duties, and ensure all associated documentation is completed as required
* Be responsible for undertaking Catering Duties including the production and distribution of meals as assigned and associated environmental and hygiene duties in compliance with local and national relevant standards
Eligibility Criteria
* (i) Possess the relevant QQI Further Education and Training (FET) Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills.
* (ii) FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills or Healthcare Support.
* (iii) A relevant healthcare qualification.
* (iv) Be currently employed an Attendant, Multi-Task or a comparable role and be willing to undertake a QQI/FET Level 5 programme in Health Service skills or equivalent.
* (b) Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.
