This role is in the accommodation department of a growing English Language school with year-round adult and young learner centres in Athlone and Dublin as well as summer centres in Athlone, Dublin, Galway and Tonbridge (UK). You will be managing a team of Accommodation Officers as well as actively placing young learners year-olds) and adults (18+) with appropriate host families or residential accommodation.
Non-Exhaustive Duties
* Managing a team of Accommodation Officers.
* Liaising with accommodation-related suppliers/service providers.
* Revision of contracts and T&Cs with the as well as sourcing of new suppliers/service providers
* Accommodation-related Budget Management
* Ensuring the officers Maintain and Recruit suitable host families in different areas
* Ensuring the timely Garda vetting of host families
* Monitoring the welfare of students in host families and be familiar with and prepared to implement the school's Child Protection procedures raising any potential or possible child protection issues with the FL Liaison Person.
* Liaising with the YL Programme manager / YL Summer centre manager / High School Coordinator / Adult student support to solve any issues relating to all host family and residential stays.
* Monitoring and keeping a record of feedback from students regarding host families and residence and acting on it where necessary.
* Keeping FL host family database up to date on FL Management systems.
* Ensuring all YL accommodation documentation is issued in a timely manner, this includes host family profiles, pairings lists, hostel application form and rooming lists and others.
* Be comfortable using digital tools for communication, collaboration and record keeping, including the use of our online school management system to consult bookings forms, update Host Family profiles and record student matching. Using Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs) on a daily basis
* Regular and professional communication with group leaders when they are here with their students.
Requirements
* Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in a similar position.
* Skills: Strong technical skills (experience with Google Suite or similar), organised, people management skills
* Location: Must reliably commute to or plan to be based near location before the start date.
* Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Ireland (EU citizenship or valid work/residency permit).
