Communications Officer - 18 month contract, Limerick
This role involves working closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications to develop and implement effective communication strategies that enhance the image of Limerick City and County Council both nationally and internationally. Responsibilities include composing press releases, managing media relations, ensuring consistent messaging, overseeing publications, advising on media appearances, developing communication programs, and managing the Council's social media platforms. The role also entails supervising staff, providing internal communications, and supporting Council projects and events.
Qualifications:
* A minimum level 7 qualification in media/communications or equivalent work experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Resilience and personal integrity
* Proficiency with relevant technology
* Understanding of current media and political environments
* Established media relationships
* Self-motivated with attention to detail
* Strong digital communications knowledge
* Valid Class B driving license and access to a car
* Flexible working hours
Additional Information:
The offered salary is 36,000 euro gross per year.
