The Role
As a Graduate Sales & Applications Engineer, you will support the technical and commercial teams by assisting with product selection, proposal preparation, and engineering analysis.
You will work closely with experienced colleagues to learn SPX systems, engineering tools, and customer requirements while developing your technical confidence and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
Assist with reviewing RFQs, specifications, and technical drawings
Learn to use SPX selection software (QTC) to configure suitable solutions
Support the preparation of technical proposals and submittal documents
Help ensure product selections meet customer and project requirements
Work with internal engineering and sales teams on project coordination
Commercial & Sales Exposure
Support quotation and proposal development
Attend customer meetings and presentations alongside senior team members
Develop understanding of pricing, project delivery, and market competitors
Assist with maintaining project pipeline and sales data
Build commercial awareness within a technical engineering environment
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar
Strong interest in HVAC, cooling systems, thermodynamics, or industrial engineering
Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to interpret technical information and engineering drawings
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Motivated individual looking to develop a long‑term engineering career
