Waterford Intellectual Disability Association are currently recruiting a Behaviour Therapist to join their Multidisciplinary Team.
We invite applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals, for the position of Positive Behaviours Support Therapist.
The successful candidate will be developing, implementing and reviewing Stress Support Plans adopting the Studio III low arousal approach.
Training in the Management of Behaviours of concern will be provided by Studio III.

To provide services as part of a multidisciplinary team and within an integrated holistic model of service delivery.
To monitor the delivery of designed programmes To participate actively in general development of the service.
To ensure that professional standards are maintained.
To work in collaboration with the other members of the multi-disciplinary team in the planning and delivery of services for adults, in particular in the development of person centred stress support plans.
To keep the relevant member of the management team informed of any issues arising with service users or staff.
To comply with WIDA policies and procedures To maintain appropriate records / statistics in line with local policy Perform any other duties appropriate to the position from time to time.

Be proficient in completing Functional Behavioural Assessments Possess the ability to collect and analyse pertinent data, and make alternations to existent plans as required.
Be familiar with the National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities.
Be familiar with completing Risk Assessments and supporting positive risk taking.
Be familiar with the Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse National Policy and Procedures.
Knowledge of HIQA standards
