Calibration Technician
Our client, a global research-driven Pharmaceutical company, focused on innovative medicines in areas like oncology, rare diseases, and gastroenterology is seeking a Calibration Technician to be part of their team in their site based in Bray.
The Calibration Technician will support the calibration, testing, and repair of various standard and specialized instruments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role encompasses calibration duties across the entire facility.
Responsibilities include:
• Perform calibrations on instruments for temperature, humidity, pressure, weight, flow, speed, conductivity, pH, and viscosity, adhering to company and cGMP protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults in instrumentation during calibration processes.
• Accurately enter calibration records into the CMMS system following ALCOA+ principles.
• Ensure calibration reference standards are current and correctly labeled, and inform the Calibration Lead of any equipment nearing its expiry.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace in line with 5S principles.
• Follow approved company EHS risk assessments for high-risk calibration activities and report any accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions.
• Participate in routine safety inspections and Gemba walks related to calibration tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Calibration Lead, within the general scope of the position.
REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in calibration within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in Clean Rooms, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve issues with instrumentation and measurement devices.
• Time served Electrical & Instrumentation apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in Electronics / Instrumentation / Control Systems, City and Guilds FTC in Electronics or Control & Instrumentation, or equivalent qualifications.
Key Skills
• Experience with CMMS systems for recording calibration data (e.g., SAP, Maximo, ProCal)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Candidates must have either EU citizenship or a Stamp 4 in Ireland to be eligible for this role.
