Job Description: Who we are and what we do: Individual Insurance also known as In-force Management (IFM) serve approximately 100,000 clients.
We provide support, policy maintenance, handle policy payments and assist our Clients through the death claim process for Individual life insurance policies.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage the Client's journey throughout the life of a claim from claim notification through to final settlement.
Our aim is to settle claims fairly, first time and in a timely manner.
Claims Administrator Job Description: This role requires a self-motivated individual capable of handling complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision.
While training will be provided, the ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently and making decisions within established guidelines.
When you join the Claims Team, you will be given structured on the job training with full guidance and support from your team leader, manager and team members.
You will be trained on a phased basis in all aspects of the life of a claim as well as the technical side to help you build confidence in your role.
You will be safe in the knowledge that there is a continued strong support network around you.
As a member of the Claims Team, you will: Handle death notifications and communicate claim requirements to clientsProcess claims efficiently within service level agreementsEnsure clear communication and compliance with SOX, state, and regulatory requirementsIdentify and escalate potential risks or suspicious activitiesUtilize our Knowledge Base for guidance on claims processesCollaborate with internal partners such as Legal and Compliance when neededReceive training on death claims follow-ups and related transactionsBuild relationships across departments to handle client requests effectivelyParticipate in team projects as opportunities ariseReceive support for career development within Sun LifeWhat do you need to succeed? Third Level qualification desirable but not requiredMinimum of 1+ years of administrative experience in a detail-oriented rolePrevious Claims Experience in a similar role is highly desirable OR Knowledge and/or experience of the Life Insurance Industry is a plusProven track record of strong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to handle written and telephone inquiries of a sensitive natureStrong interpersonal skills as this role requires collaboration and engagement of various stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and ExcelAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficientlyStrong problem solving skills and ability to work independentlyBenefits: 22 Days Annual Leave - increasing to 25 days based on length of serviceMaternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Parental Leave€275 Fitness Reimbursement for gym membership annuallyAnnual Bonus plan based on Company and Individual Performance100% Private Health Insurance cover for employees and 50% contribution for family members from date of hire.S&S Club, Wellness Programme, GP Scheme, Flu Vaccines, Eye Care Scheme as well as lots of discounted events and classesDefined Contribution Pension SchemeJob Category:
