Cost Engineer - Germany, Frankfurt - 18 Month ContractWe are recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical client based in the surroundings of Frankfurt. Due to a large capital investment and multiple projects on site, the client is looking for a Cost Engineer to join their team.Responsibilities IncludeLead CAPEX estimation for large-scale industrial, pharmaceutical, highly regulated projects), delivering Class 5 to Class 2 estimatesDeveloped and implemented cost control systems and procedures across international EPC/EPCM projectsManaged full project controls lifecycle: budgeting, cost estimation, forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and financial reportingOversaw day-to-day cost control operations including accruals, commitments, resource planning, and financial forecastingDelivered internal and external financial performance reports, including earned value analysis (CPI), variation analysis, and shareholder presentationsDefined and maintained Work Breakdown Structures, cost breakdowns, and contract documentation to support project planning and executionConducted risk management, change order and claim management, contingency tracking, and alignment with business/contractual requirementsCoordinated with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and delivery teams to ensure cost and schedule alignmentProvided training and support to engineers on estimating and cost control for small to mid-sized projectsExperienced in financial reporting, P&L analysis, audit interface, and project loan refinancingApplied advanced cost management techniques and tools including SAP, Power BI, Primavera, and MS ProjectKey requirements include:Requires extensive experience in cost control and project controls across complex, international mega projectsStrong background in regulated industries ie. life sciences, chemicals, manufacturing, oil&gas and infrastructure sectorsCertified FMVA, CMSA or BIDA with advanced knowledge of earned value managementSkilled in contract management, change control, and financial governanceExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsProven ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teamsFluent in English; experienced in multicultural project environmentsIf you are local to Frankfurt and interested in discussing this position, please submit your profile and we will be in contact at our earliest convenience.
