Job Description
The Contract Manager will oversee the pre- and post-contract activities within the Infrastructure Department's Portfolio, ensuring compliance with framework agreements and Work Orders.
Pre-contract, the role involves working closely with Procurement and Legal teams to support engagement of Contractors and Consultants, aligning with procurement strategies.
Post-contract, responsibilities include managing Work Orders from award to completion, including review and acceptance of subcontractors and documents, and overseeing contractor performance based on KPIs.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Contract Management standards, managing relationships for continuous improvement, reviewing and negotiating contracts, certifying payments, auditing accounts, assessing forecasts and damages, establishing management strategies, setting KPI targets, and overseeing performance evaluations and improvement plans.
The role also involves team development, managing compensation events, overseeing tendering processes, and ensuring contractual documentation and evaluation are properly managed.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in contract management and administration
Knowledge of monitoring Contractor and Consultant performance
Significant experience in claims management
Experience in establishing performance management frameworks and KPIs
Proficiency with NEC contracts and contract administration
Ability to lead and manage multiple complex contracts and teams
Strong analytical skills
Understanding of CEMAR and Unifier
Bachelor Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management
