Overview
Engineering Technician at Viatris – Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will play a key role in the engineering team with responsibilities across equipment maintenance & reliability and the development of new engineering technologies.

Responsibilities
* Implement maintenance strategy aligned with the company2s goals and objectives, establishing and maintaining a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure reliability and availability of all equipment.
* Provide strong leadership to maintenance teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Monitor KPIs for equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements, including FDA and GMP standards, and maintain accurate documentation to support regulatory audits.
* Promote a culture of safety responsibility within the engineering and maintenance team.
* Engage in cross-functional team activities to address and mitigate root causes of problems with preventative maintenance and machine performance.
* Support the Engineering Department on improvement projects to increase and maintain equipment reliability.
* Develop preventative maintenance methods to minimise mean time between failure and maximise OEE.
* Train and support engineering technicians to ensure they can complete daily operational tasks.
* Technical writing to include SOP updates and investigation reports.
Qualifications
* Bachelor2s degree in mechanical engineering.
* Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or biotechnology operations/GMP environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of equipment reliability engineering.
* Hands-on maintenance, design and application experience; troubleshooting and cross-functional liaison with Engineering, Operations and Quality.
* Excellent problem-solving skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience developing/implementing maintenance programs.
* Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
* Self-driven, proactive and flexible.
