Company OverviewWe are an established engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture, supply and installation of structural, mild, and stainless steel for the recycling, modular building, construction, and pharmaceutical industries.We operate to high standards and are accredited to EN 1090 Execution Class 4 and certified to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental), and ISO 45001:2018 (Health & Safety).With over 30 years in business, we are based in the east of Ireland within commuting distance of a major motorway network.We are currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to be based at our head office.The RoleReview tender documents, drawings and specifications; evaluate, cost and submit tenders.Negotiate contract price and programme.Perform material take-offs and obtain supplier quotations.Carry out post-contract duties including measurements, final accounts and retention release.Liaise with engineers, architects, clients and the in-house drawing office.Work with the project team to ensure measurements, variations and contractual matters are properly recorded and notified.Prepare monthly payment applications and agree same with clients.Manage and evaluate subcontractor works, variations and invoices to ensure contractual compliance.Liaise with production and site installation teams to ensure adherence to programme.Attend meetings with clients, site managers, architects and engineers.Prepare and submit handover documentation.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.Minimum 2 years' experience in a quantity surveying role.Knowledge of structural steel drawing software (advantageous).Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and CE marking standards (advantageous).Strong written and verbal communication skills with good interpersonal ability.Good understanding of contract law.Excellent IT skills.BenefitsCompetitive salaryMonday to Friday working weekPension schemeFurther training and development opportunities
