We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a long-term career with opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide HSE advice and support to managers, supervisors, and colleagues to ensure a safe working environment.
2. Develop and maintain safe systems of work and ensure their effective application.
3. Conduct regular inspections and record-keeping to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
4. Investigate incidents and implement improvement measures to prevent reoccurrence.
5. Become aware of the functions of other members of staff as they affect your work and maintain effective working relationships.
6. Attend meetings as required and undertake assigned work in a professional and efficient manner.
Requirements:
1. NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
2. Proven experience in HSE with a minimum of 5 years.
3. Experience in new build and M&E construction environments or similar.
4. Experience in undertaking health and safety audits.
Desirable Criteria:
1. Chartered membership of IOSH or working towards it.
2. NEBOSH Diploma or working towards it.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
* Incident reduction rates.
* Compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Effectiveness of HSE policies and procedures.
