Design and Project Management Expertise
As a senior civil/structural engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and project management of various building and civil engineering projects. This encompasses responsibility for designing, supervising, and ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed civil and structural designs for buildings using Eurocodes and diverse materials.
* Prepare thorough manual calculations and utilize software packages such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, and TEDDS.
* Engage effectively with clients throughout projects and demonstrate a commitment to safety best practices.
* Coordinate closely with the design team to ensure comprehensive project requirements are satisfied and manage meetings to achieve this goal.
* Maintain accurate design folders and communicate efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure timely completion of design tasks and regularly monitor progress, updating as necessary.
* Manage change control processes collaboratively with the internal team and deliver on design fee targets.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Design Engineer in the construction sector.
* Chartered status or actively working towards Chartership.
* Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD software.
* Prior experience in civil/structural engineering design and associated design software packages.
* Demonstrable knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
* Full Irish Driver's Licence required.
