We are seeking a detail-oriented
Statistical Reporting Business Analyst
with strong expertise in FINREP and COREP regulatory reporting.
The role focuses on translating regulatory requirements into business and functional specifications, supporting the production, validation, and evolution of prudential and financial regulatory reports in line with EBA/ECB standards. The ideal candidate will act as a key link between Finance, Risk, IT, and Regulatory Reporting teams, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance across reporting processes.
Responsibilities
* Analyze and interpret EBA regulatory frameworks related to FINREP, COREP, and related statistical reporting
* Support the end-to-end lifecycle of FINREP and COREP reports, from data sourcing to final submission
* Monitor regulatory changes (EBA ITS, ECB guidelines) and assess their impact on reporting processes and systems
* Ensure alignment between accounting (IFRS/local GAAP), risk, and regulatory data
* Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for regulatory reporting solutions
* Translate regulatory texts into clear business rules, data definitions, and calculation logic
* Produce high-quality documentation (BRDs, FRDs, data mapping, impact analyses)
* Support UAT by defining test cases, validating results, and resolving discrepancies
* Work closely with IT and data teams to ensure correct data sourcing, transformation, and aggregation
* Validate data quality, lineage, and reconciliation between FINREP, COREP, and internal Finance/Risk figures
* Support implementation and enhancement of regulatory reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Abacus, OneSumX, Axiom)
* Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for FINREP and COREP topics
* Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Compliance, and IT stakeholders
* Support internal and external audits, regulator queries, and inspections
Requirements
* Strong hands-on experience with FINREP and COREP reporting
* Solid understanding of EBA regulations, ITS, and ECB reporting requirements
* Good knowledge of IFRS and prudential concepts (credit risk, market risk, RWA, capital ratios)
* Experience with regulatory reporting software and data warehouses
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a regulatory or financial reporting environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Ability to interpret complex regulatory texts and translate them into actionable requirements
* Advanced SQL skills; experience with large datasets
* Familiarity with Excel (advanced), data models, and reporting frameworks
* Knowledge of XBRL and taxonomy structures is a strong advantage
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment
* Strong documentation and presentation skills
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field

* Experience with AnaCredit, BIRD, or ECB statistical reporting
* Background in consulting or regulatory transformation projects
