ROSS Commissioning | Dublin & International Projects
ROSS Commissioning is launching a new, strategically important entity within the ROSS Group—and we are seeking a Director of Operations.
This is a founding leadership role for an experienced technical leader who wants real ownership: shaping strategy, building teams, driving innovation, and working directly with global clients to deliver fully integrated, end‑to‑end commissioning solutions.
The Opportunity
As Director of Operations, you will play a central role in establishing and scaling ROSS Commissioning’s technical capability. You will work hand‑in‑hand with senior leadership to define delivery models, develop technical strategy, and position ROSS as a trusted partner for complex, mission‑critical projects.
A key focus of the role is growing the business through technical leadership—leading client discussions, shaping solutions, supporting bids, and expanding ROSS’s in‑house capability across design, manufacture, commissioning, and delivery.
Your Role
Act as a senior leader shaping the strategy, structure, and growth of a new ROSS Commissioning entity
Build and develop a high‑performing technical team, balancing senior leadership with early‑career talent
Lead front‑end technical engagement with clients, including solution development and design strategy
Drive new work through technical excellence—supporting bids, pursuits, and proposals
Champion innovation, emerging technologies, and best‑practice electrical & mechanical engineering solutions
Collaborate across ROSS engineering teams to expand in‑house design, manufacture, and delivery capability
Ensure technical quality, governance, and consistency across all projects and client engagements
Clients & Partnerships
You will work closely with the company's Directors and General Manager to develop programmes, scopes of work, and resourcing strategies for best‑practice delivery. Current and prospective locations include:
Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America
We currently have a portfolio of clients and a healthy look ahead.
Travel & Delivery Support
This role includes travel to support project mobilisation, client engagement, and site‑based technical problem‑solving. The senior commissioning team operates as a mobile leadership function, supporting new clients, complex site challenges, and team development from Dublin and beyond.
