Position Overview
Reporting to the International CFO and the Country Manager, the CFO for UK & Ireland will oversee finance, tax, and legal matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in the finance function of a multi-company international business, with responsibilities extending to operations in the Middle East managed by our UK and Irish entities. The role includes planning, management, financial strategy development, and oversight of financial processes such as budgeting, treasury, accounting, financing, and expenditure controls.
Key Responsibilities
1. Direct and manage all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions, ensuring timely execution of accounting processes and reports.
2. Oversee finance, tax, and legal issues.
3. Responsible for reporting, auditing, statutory compliance, and financial control.
4. Prepare, review, and finalize monthly accounts and reports to meet deadlines.
5. Manage company cash flows.
6. Monitor business performance, profitability, and variance analysis against budgets.
7. Review internal controls and procedures to safeguard financial integrity.
8. Coordinate with business area and country managers to prepare the annual budget.
9. Develop and manage financial forecasting, cash flow forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Role Development
* Lead and develop the finance team.
* Ensure consistent application of accounting and financial controls across the company.
* Provide objective judgment on financial decisions.
* Maintain the financial health of the company.
Requirements
* Strong communication skills.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with prioritization skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team.
* Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
* Minimum of 5+ years in a similar role, preferably within international companies.
* Experience advising at the executive level and presenting to diverse audiences.
* Proficiency in SAP is mandatory.
