Senior Occupational Therapist
We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to support adults with intellectual disabilities achieve their goals and improve their quality of life in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
About the Role
* Deliver client-centred care through the development of individualised treatment plans that empower adults with intellectual disabilities to reach their optimal level of independence and participation in daily activities.
* Provide specialist advice and interventions in areas such as self-care, functional skills, and sensory processing, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to colleagues and junior staff members.
* Contribute to service development, including audits, quality improvement initiatives, and the implementation of evidence-based practices to drive positive outcomes.
Key Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year at senior level (or equivalent) Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities is essential Strong skills in seating and equipment prescription highly desirable Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
