About the Role
Gi Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Delivery Operations Manager to oversee utility and civil projects across the South East region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading contractor working on major infrastructure programmes, including water and leak reduction works.
This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives on delivering complex projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage multiple framework sites, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality.
2. Work in partnership with the Health & Safety team to implement and maintain site safety procedures.
3. Oversee project reporting, forecasting and progress tracking.
4. Ensure compliance with agreed schedules, scope and quality standards.
5. Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to programme requirements.
6. Proactively identify potential risks or issues and implement solutions.
7. Drive continuous improvement and foster strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
8. Degree or relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
9. 3-5 years' proven experience in construction management, ideally within utilities or civil infrastructure.
10. Background working with a Principal Contractor is highly desirable.
11. Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
12. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
13. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, regulations and quality standards.
14. Proactive, solutions-focused and able to demonstrate a track record of successful project delivery.
