ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Performs other duties as assigned by management.· Assist the Spa Manager in the overall development and daily operation of the spa, including supervision of the spa team, training and development of staff in line with company standards, and ensuring all employees deliver a consistent 5-star guest experience.Deliver exceptional customer service at all times, maintaining a welcoming, friendly and professional environment for all members, guests, and colleagues.Work a combination of front desk shifts and therapist shifts, carrying out treatments to the highest standards while adhering to all spa protocols, SOPs, and hygiene requirements.Book, schedule, and confirm all appointment requests via phone, email, or in person, while clearly communicating treatment details and cancellation policies to guests.Provide guests with thorough, knowledgeable advice on treatments, spa etiquette, and homecare product recommendations.Manage and monitor daily business activity, including reviewing bookings on Jonas, ensuring booking notes are communicated accurately, and supporting the team in driving re-bookings and retail targets.Monitor all areas of the spa facility—including treatment rooms, gym, thermal suite, and relaxation areas—to ensure they are safe, hygienic, and maintained to five-star standards at all times.Support the training and development of spa team members, identifying additional training needs throughout the season, and participating in scheduled company training.Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly, escalating to the Spa Manager when required.Complete daily audits, ensuring that all treatments and services are correctly processed and paid.Maintain five-star cleanliness and presentation across all treatment rooms and spa areas.Ensure all company standards, policies, and procedures—including Health & Safety and Dignity & Respect in the Workplace—are fully adhered to.Perform administrative duties as needed and adopt a hands-on approach to ensure smooth spa operations.Contribute positively to teamwork, communication, and the overall culture of excellence within the spa and wider property.COMMUNICATION:· Report to the Spa Manager of Hogs Head Golf Club.· Liaise with the spa receptionist daily to check bookings and business for the day.· Stock Take and Stock Control.· Inform the Spa Manager of anything not working correctly in spa area and treatment rooms.· Liaise with maintenance regularly to ensure all elements of the spa are in working order.TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:· Continuously develop job knowledge by attending all scheduled company training.· Promoting and contributing to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.· Ensure team members are conversant with and aware of Company standards and that those standards are fully implemented.· Utilise leadership skills and motivation to maximise employee productivity and satisfactionQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Spa Supervisor or similar role in a 4* or 5* hotel/spa environment.Fully qualified in Beauty and Massage Therapy (ITEC, CIDESCO, CIBTAC or equivalent), with strong practical experience in facial, massage, body treatments, and/or holistic therapies.Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality treatments in a luxury spa environment.Excellent understanding of spa treatments, product offerings, and luxury service standards.Ability to work on own initiative as well as collaboratively within a team.Excellent written and spoken English.Flexible availability, including working shifts across 5 out of 7 days, with hours reflecting business needs.To carry out a full walk of the Spa areas at the beginning and end of shift and ensure that all checklists are being carried out by the team.To ensure that all team members comply with the employee handbook and the hotel grooming policy.CRITICAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.Organizational and critical thinking skillsHave a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.Able to work effectively with and present information to other department heads, staff and vendorsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.· Required to walk or move to various locations within the property; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.· Schedule must be flexible to include weekends and holidays.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This is a fixed-term position (April-October).
