The Role
Presidio's Logistics Supervisor will oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods. This role involves managing logistics processes, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet business goals and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of logistics & warehouse staff, including operatives and drivers.
* Allocate tasks, set daily performance goals, and ensure that targets are met.
* Delegate resources across the whole operation as required.
* Provide leadership, motivation, and support to the team, fostering a positive working environment.
* Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members.
* Oversee logistics, reverse logistics and warehouse processes.
* Prepare shipping documents (Invoices/AWB's).
* Liaise with customs/logistics companies and customer representatives as required.
* Support Purchasing & Sales Teams by providing quotes as requested.
* Liaise with LSPs on shipment status.
* Ensure that stock is handled correctly and stored in an organized manner.
* Monitor productivity and efficiency, identifying areas for process improvement.
* Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
* Create training and process documents.
* Ensure that SLAs are met.
* Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure proper inventory management.
* Coordinate regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
* Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies or issues promptly.
* Monitor and ensure that all staff comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices.
* Report equipment faults to Facilities Manager.
* Ensure that staff are trained in the correct operation of equipment.
* Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse operations, including key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity, and stock accuracy.
* Communicate effectively with the warehouse manager, logistics team, sales team, as well as carriers or customers.
* Support HR on any personnel issues.
* Monitor attendance and schedule holidays.
* Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.
* Monitor employee performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
* Promote a positive work environment and handle employee relations matters professionally.
Required Skills and Professional Experience
* 5+ years working in a and/or logistics leadership role preferred.
* 3+ years of experience leading a team is an advantage.
* A degree in logistics is an advantage.
