As a Mechanical Systems Transition Specialist, you play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless execution and completion of mechanical systems across various projects. Your expertise lies in transitioning construction to operational readiness through thorough inspections, documentation, and compliance checks.
About the Role:
* You will conduct detailed assessments and inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and process systems, to verify compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
* Your task is to oversee the compilation and review of transition documentation, including as-built drawings, equipment manuals, inspection reports, and compliance certifications, ensuring all necessary paperwork is accurate and complete.
* You will collaborate closely with project engineers, contractors, and operations teams to facilitate smooth communication and coordination regarding mechanical systems, addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise during final inspections and tests.
* You are responsible for collaborating on testing and commissioning activities, ensuring that all mechanical systems are operationally ready and meet performance criteria.
* Your focus is on ensuring that all mechanical systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards, conducting audits as necessary to uphold safety and quality benchmarks.
* You will assist in the formal handover process, providing training and support to operations personnel and ensuring they are familiar with system functionalities and maintenance requirements.
* You have the opportunity to identify opportunities for process enhancements, develop best practices for transition processes, and contribute to ongoing team training and development initiatives.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* Relevant experience in mechanical systems transition, project management, or a similar role within the engineering or construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical design standards, codes, and regulations.
* Proficiency in technical documentation and project management software.
* Previous experience using EIDA would be preferable but not essential.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
