Job Title: Senior HR AdvisorReports to: Head of HR OperationsTerms: Specified Purpose Contract (to at least end 2027), 50% HybridLocation: DublinSalary: GB 7: €70,088 to €77,875Requirements: Travel to programme countries, likely 2-3 support visits per annum (6-9 weeks in total).Role PurposeThe Senior HR Advisor is a key role within the People function and will work closely with senior managers and line managers to contribute to the development and delivery of people initiatives that achieve shared organisational objectives. The role focuses on people engagement, performance management, employee relations, talent management and development, and advancing workplace equality, diversity and inclusion.The Senior HR Advisor supports management teams in our countries of operation and leads several global strategic people initiatives. The Senior HR Adviser plays a key role in delivering the recently approved People Strategy for the organisation.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and development of 2 HR Advisors through effective direction, delegation, coaching and performance management, enabling efficient day‑to‑day services.Contribute to the strategic direction of the People function within the organisation.Liaise with other HR managers, participate in and lead strategic projects; lead the introduction of the Misconduct Disclosures Scheme and the Staff Manuals and Polices update project as key priorities.Work closely with the Total Reward Specialist on the roll‑out of Concern’s Global Pay Banding Framework across our countries of operation, ensuring consistency and understanding in the process.Build trusting relationships with senior and line managers, providing strategic HR support and guidance leading to continuous improvement in people management and engagement.Promote positive employee relations and engagement in line with best practice and in conjunction with internal communications.Handle day‑to‑day HR activities with improved service delivery in mind, including salary benchmarking, development of new work‑practice guidance and updating of the staff handbook.Manage and support complex individual queries or cases in a timely manner.Participate in investigations required in response to staff misconduct, ensuring that at all stages investigations comply with employment legislation and best practice.Foster and maintain strong working relationships with the Safeguarding Unit and Internal Audit and Investigations Unit.Deputise for the Head of HR Operations as required.Provide on‑call cover for the 24‑hour emergency phone.Accept, advance and pursue any new objectives or responsibilities that may be assigned by the Head of HR Operations.Demonstrate leadership on workplace equality, diversity and inclusion and role‑model a positive safeguarding ethos.Role Holder RequirementsA qualification in Human Resource management or a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience.Extensive experience in employee relations, investigations, and/or employment law.Professional experience in HR within a mid‑to‑large‑sized organisation, with at least two years in a management role.Fluency in French highly desirable.Experience working in the INGO sector highly desirable.Ability to build strong relationships at all levels, including stakeholders in remote areas.Experience successfully implementing processes across geographically distributed teams.Excellent planning, organisational, and time‑management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring attention to detail at all times.CIPD Member (desired).CompetenciesMotivating and developingCommunicating and influencingManaging riskLeading changeMaking decisionsDriving performanceLeading by exampleRemoving barriers to deliveryEquality, Diversity, and InclusionWe encourage all eligible candidates, irrespective of gender, ethnicity or origin, disability, political beliefs, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or socio‑economic status, to apply and become part of the organisation.
