Key ResponsibilitiesSafe Operation: Driving articulated trucks across regional and national routes in accordance with Irish Rules of the Road and tachograph legislation.Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting daily "walk-around" safety checks (pre-trip and post-trip) and reporting defects to the transport team.Load Security: Ensuring all cargo is safely secured and tied down to prevent damage or safety hazards during transit.Documentation: Completing delivery paperwork, using driver apps for Proof of Delivery (POD), and maintaining accurate logs of working hours and mileage.Loading/Unloading: Assisting with or overseeing the loading and unloading of goods, which may involve manual handling or operating equipment like electric pallet trucks.Customer Interaction: Representing the company professionally when delivering to shops, construction sites, or distribution depots.Essential Qualifications & SkillsLicensing: A full, clean Category CE Driving License (HGV Artic) is essential.CPC Certification: Up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card and completion of all annual training modules.Digital Tachograph Card: Required for legal tracking of driving hours.Experience: Most employers seek candidates with at least 1–2 years of artic driving experience, though some roles accept a minimum of 6 months.Safety-Mindedness: Strong knowledge of RSA regulations and a commitment to operational safety.Technical Literacy: Ability to use smartphone apps for route planning and delivery confirmation.Working ConditionsSchedule: Often involves varied shifts, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.Physicality: Some roles involve physical work, such as moving pallets or securing heavy loads.Job Type: Full-timePay: €150.00-€160.00 per dayWork Location: In person
