Job Description
As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotels. Your primary responsibility will be to perform general maintenance tasks on a daily basis, from changing light bulbs to fixing leaky taps, to provide an exceptional experience for our guests. You will work proactively with our 'perfect rooms' programme to eliminate customer complaints by having everything working just right.
You will also work with external contractors, supervising their work to ensure it meets our high standards and that health and safety is never compromised. Additionally, you will reactively alter procedures and fix any issues resulting from reported incidents to reduce risk and prevent reoccurrence.
Furthermore, you will work closely with the Director of Engineering to support all refurbishment or capital expenditure projects in a cost-efficient manner, while ensuring health and safety standards are followed at all times.
We seek a highly skilled and motivated individual who is able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and is driven by standards. You will have excellent knowledge of health and safety and great relationship-building skills with customers and the team.
The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and practices. Electric and plumbing qualifications would be advantageous.
