Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Water & Civils Projects A leading Irish civil and utilities contractor is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, delivering major water and civil infrastructure projects across Dublin and Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious QS to gain experience managing the commercial aspects of large-scale projects, including water mains, pipelines, wastewater networks, and civil works. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the full commercial management of projects from pre-contract through to final account. Prepare cost plans, budgets, valuations, and tender returns. Monitor project costs, cashflow, and financial performance. Manage subcontractor procurement, interim applications, variations, and final accounts. Provide commercial support to Project Managers and site teams. Conduct risk assessments, cost forecasting, and reporting. Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Support junior QS staff and contribute to commercial team development. Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline. 35 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civil or water infrastructure projects. Knowledge of water infrastructure delivery, civil engineering works, and utilities projects. Experience managing commercial aspects of civil contracts. Strong understanding of Health & Safety, QA/QC, and environmental compliance. Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software. Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites across Dublin and Kildare. Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary circa €60k€70k, depending on experience. Excellent benefits package.
