Job Title: Clinical Advisor in Haematology
As a medical professional working as a Locum Consultant, you will be responsible for providing advisory and consultancy services to hospital specialists and general practitioners.
* Provide diagnostic, screening, treatment, preoperative, operative, and postoperative care for patients.
* Communicate clinical information to patients and their families using various methods to ensure practical understanding.
* Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe various types of treatment.
* Monitor patient progress and communicate with the multidisciplinary team.
* Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals.
* Assess and prioritise patient requirements, delegating effectively to others.
* Recognise, review, and report patient conditions and changes to the multidisciplinary team.
* Perform basic administrative tasks such as recording test results and writing prescriptions.
* Conduct research to improve procedures and outcomes.
* Teach and train junior doctors and medical students.
Requirements:
* Hold a valid GMC registration and license to practice.
* Have relevant experience at Consultant level or references supporting your transition up to Consultant level.
* Ideal candidates will have previous NHS experience.
* Hold evidence of Right to Work in the UK (visas cannot be sponsored).
* Pass an enhanced DBS check.
