**Job summary**The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
This role requires strong attention to detail, in-depth payroll knowledge, and the ability to handle complex payroll issues.
**Primary Responsibilities*** Execute full cycle payroll (fortnightly) for 700+ employees* Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions* Maintain and update payroll records in line with company policies* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (e.g., PAYE/PRSI/USC returns)* Maintain pension records and liaise with pension providers (Zurich)* Prepare and submit payroll reports to internal stakeholders and external authorities* Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies* Handle employee queries related to payslips, taxes, and deductions* Coordinate with HR and Finance teams regarding employee data changes* Support audits by providing payroll documentation and reports* Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes and systems* Mentor or supervise junior payroll staff where required* Perform ad hoc administrative duties as required.
**Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required*** IPASS qualification* Minimum 5+ years' experience working as a Payroll Specialist in Ireland in a company with 300+ employees, ideally in a MNC* Deep understanding of Irish taxation & Revenue regulations* High proficiency in Excel and Payroll software (MegaPay a plus)* Experience of working with HR management systems (Workday a plus)* Collaborative approach with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills* Strong attention to detail, ability manage multiple priorities to strict deadlines* Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach#LI-MS1Join us and be part of building the bridge between life changing therapies and patients.
