Project Design Engineer:
Electro-mechanical design engineer working within a small design team, with the required skill set to carry out the following tasks:
1. Liaise with the sales team and product specialists to design process analyser sampling systems and calibration systems
2. Planning of design activities
3. Produce quotations including technical drawings, bills of materials and costings.
4. Conduct contract reviews prior to converting quotations to orders and ensuring accurate information is available for the build, test and calibration team
5. Communicate with customers throughout order/build process
6. Assist with any queries or problems that occur during the production process
7. Produce technical documentation including installation and operation manuals, hazardous area certification lists and ‘as built’ drawings
8. Familiarity with CE marking requirements and Directives such as ATEX, Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS
Experience:
1. Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical or similarly regulated markets (food, Biopharma and the like). Pharmaceutical (API) process knowledge is distinctly attractive.
2. Experience in the use of CAD packages (2D and 3D), ideally SolidWorks.
3. Good experience in the use of Microsoft Office
4. Experience of working with/on bills of materials and technical documentation.
5. Experience of working with hazardous area equipment.
6. Good understanding of Instrument and Control systems.
7. Hands on mechanical and electrical experience would be beneficial and preferred.
8. An understanding and experience of using an ERP business system
9. Familiarity with CE marking requirements and Directives such as ATEX, Low Voltage, EMC, and RoHS.
