Community Employment Supervisor

NCE Outreach is seeking a Community Employment Supervisor with strong practical skills and a passion for guiding CE participants toward personal and professional growth through hands-on learning.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver practical training and supervision to Community Employment participants in various DIY disciplines (e.g. woodwork, painting, basic repairs).
Design and implement structured training programmes to help participants build valuable, transferable skills.
Monitor participant progress, providing feedback and support to ensure positive learning outcomes.
Maintain a safe and productive workshop environment, ensuring proper use of tools and materials.
Foster teamwork, motivation, and confidence among participants preparing for further education or employment.
Oversee administration, compliance and participant learning plans
Maintain compliance with all Department of Social Protection and operational standards.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required
A recognised qualification in a relevant field such as carpentry, construction, maintenance or building services (NFQ Level 6 or higher) and/or a Train the Trainer qualification are highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in construction, DIY, home improvement, or related practical trades.
Previous supervisory or training experience is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Solid understanding of tools, materials, and safety procedures.
A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping others reach their potential.
Salary: Point 1 of the CE Supervisor Salary Scale
