Our client, a leading Irish retailer with nationwide stores and a thriving online business, is entering an exciting phase of growth. They are now seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join their Galway warehouse management team. This is a hands-on leadership role where people management is critical to success.
The Role
* Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse staff to achieve operational excellence
* Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities including goods in/out, order picking, and loading
* Deliver training, performance management, and team development initiatives
* Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient handling of all stock
* Coordinate store and e-commerce deliveries, liaising closely with operations and logistics teams
* Analyse and optimise warehouse processes to improve efficiency and productivity
* Provide cover for the Warehouse Manager when required
What You'll Need
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar logistics or warehouse role
* Proven people management experience with the ability to lead from the front
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a busy environment
* Retail industry experience is an advantage
* Competence in reporting and use of analytics tools
