Restaurant Manager - Clanree Hotel

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the restaurant and banqueting functions.
Ensure all guests receive exceptional customer service and hospitality at all times.
Maximise revenue opportunities while controlling costs and maintaining budgets.
Ensure all hygiene, health & safety, and food safety standards are strictly adhered to.
Manage restaurant bookings, table plans, and staff allocations effectively.
Supervise and support the restaurant and banqueting team during service.
Maintain strong knowledge of all menus, beverages, ingredients, preparation methods, and service standards.
Greet guests, take orders when required, and provide recommendations on dishes, wines, and beverages.
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service and respond promptly to guest needs.
Ensure all food and beverage charges are processed accurately in line with cash handling procedures.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the restaurant and service areas.
Ensure room service is delivered efficiently and in accordance with hotel standards.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve service standards and guest experience.
Support the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of team members in conjunction with senior management.
Deliver training and ongoing development to new and existing staff members.
Ensure all team members are fully competent in their roles and responsibilities.
Maintain awareness of hotel targets, revenue goals, covers, and average spend.
Adhere to all security procedures relating to cash, keys, equipment, and hotel property.
Communicate effectively with all hotel departments and attend Head of Department meetings as required.
Respond proactively to changes in business levels to ensure efficient staffing and cost control.
Lead, motivate, and inspire the restaurant team to achieve high performance standards.
Ensure full compliance with liquor licensing legislation.
Identify and maximise upselling opportunities across the business.
Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and report issues to management where necessary.
Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and comply with the hotel grooming policy.

Requirements

Previous hospitality management or supervisory experience is essential.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Excellent customer service and guest relations experience.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.
