Senior Systems Engineer Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Galway. This is a critical role that will involve planning, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive Factory Systems Infrastructure.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have experience with automation infrastructure, vision systems, network topology, software development and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage and support the existing Automation infrastructure for optimal performance and minimized downtime
* Collaborate with the IT Group, Application Group, External Technical Resources to provide comprehensive support of all Automation and Information Systems and Technologies
* Provide final third level support on all technical issues
* Install and deploy systems, software and peripherals as required
* Develop, implements and manages comprehensive contingency plans for all critical systems
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering with 3+ years' relevant experience
* Experience with in-line vision systems, barcode systems, network topology, pc application software, systematic troubleshooting / problem solving skills
* Prior experience of TCP/IP and Wide area Network architectures
* Relevant Medical Device AND/OR Automation experience preferred
