Description AXA Ireland are looking for a Qualified Accountant to join their Finance team. Reporting to the IFRS Reporting Manager, you will be working as part of the Financial Reporting team who deliver internal and external financial reporting for local management, shareholder, and statutory and regulatory bodies. We are looking for someone who will be proactive and capable of working within the team but also independently to successful delivery on objectives within strict deadlines. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. As part of the Financial Reporting team you will contribute to: Completing month-end close procedures, including journals and analysis. Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis. Assisting in the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts Pack, within prescribed deadlines Assisting in the preparation and submission of Group reporting packs Responding to and actioning Group queries, supported by a Senior accountant Ensuring that proper financial controls are in place Reviewing and documenting financial processes and identifying potential process improvements. Assisting in the timely preparation of annual statutory accounts and regulatory returns sufficient (quarterly and annual) for audit. Working together with the Finance team on the annual audit to ensure a timely, clean and efficient audit process. Work on ad-hoc business projects as they arise and are assigned by Finance Management. Qualifications About You/What we're looking for: Qualified accountant with membership of one of the following accounting bodies ACA, ACCA, CIMA A minimum of 4 year's accounting work experience within a similar environment. Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail essential, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs. The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team and to deliver on tight deadlines, with a positive attitude. Proven ability to work well with technical and non-technical staff across numerous areas. Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
