About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Commercial Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining All our commercial vehicles- We run a fleet of Iveco Daily vans and a number of LPG tankers and Articulate trucks and trailers. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring they meet safety and regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for mechanics and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues in the commercial vehicles.
* Complete vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks including brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and engine repairs.
* Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
* Conduct routine maintenance checks and services to prevent future vehicle issues.
* Work with a team to complete jobs efficiently and within designated timelines.
* Maintain detailed records of services and repairs performed.
* Keep up to date with advancements in vehicle diagnostics and technology.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a mechanic.
* Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
* Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards in vehicle repair.
* Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
* Relevant mechanical certifications or trade qualifications.
