E&I Construction Lead
Asset Recruitment is seeking an E&I Construction Lead on behalf of our client, a world-class EPCM company, to join their team on a Pharmaceutical project in Limerick.
As a senior member of the Construction Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the proper and timely construction of the E&I Scope complying with the company's Safety and Quality, the detailed design, the control estimate, contract, SOP's, WI's, standards etc.
The E&I Construction Lead will also be responsible for the timely turnover of all E&I systems to the client and for providing input for the development of the E&I construction department, which includes liaising with the E&I Design department leads, improving execution procedures, managing and developing the E&I construction resources across the project.
Main Duties/Responsibilities (included but not limited to)
Pre-Construction: Detailed review and liaison with design and client workgroup leads model reviews.
Develop and lead constructability reviews and SOWs for trade contract procurement.
Support in preparation of detailed BOQs.
Input into CHSP, QA/TO and all other General Construction Requirement documentation.
Assist in schedule development, schedule reviews and lead IAPs.
Evaluate returned E&I bids and prepare TBA.
Main Duties/Responsibilities (in addition to above)
Guarantees that the construction phase of the projects is adequately provided with suitably capable, qualified and experienced personnel, together with all the necessary plant, tools, temporary facilities and other resources.
Subcontract management including Safety, Schedule, Cost and Quality shall be your main deliverable.
Engages with the Design, Commissioning and Client teams throughout the project to ensure system turnovers are achieved to scheduled milestones.
Develops best-in-class site execution SOP's as guidance to the Field Supervisors.
Knowledge of the implications of the Health and Safety at Work Act and Regulations as they affect the responsibilities of employees.
Make sure that the projects are constructed to the drawings, specifications, applicable standards, good construction practices, to schedule and in accordance with the cost budget.
Lead and controls the activities of the assigned staff and their functions.
Supervises and manages all Site E&I Staff including construction superintendents, trade supervisors and sub-contractors.
Qualification
A Degree qualified in E&I Engineering or similar discipline
Significant years of experience in a similar role
Biotech/Pharma knowledge
Strong communication skills
Excellent multi-disciplinary knowledge
