We are seeking a
Lead Software Engineer - QA
to own and drive automated software validation across a complex, safety-critical technology platform.
This is a senior, hands-on role focused on building scalable test frameworks, tooling, and validation infrastructure that enables teams to ship quickly with high confidence.
Quality is treated as a core engineering discipline, not a final checkpoint.
You'll work closely with software engineering teams to embed robust testing and reliability practices across the full system.
What you'll do
Define and own the end-to-end automated testing and validation strategy
Architect and build scalable test frameworks (unit, integration, system, end-to-end)
Develop test harnesses for distributed and real-time systems
Ensure tests are reliable, maintainable, and provide fast, actionable feedback
Own test observability, reporting, and quality metrics
Influence best practices in testing, validation, and safe release strategies
Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of shared ownership for quality
What you'll bring
Strong software engineering background with experience building test frameworks or developer tooling
Deep understanding of modern testing strategies and automation
Experience with distributed, real-time, or hardware-adjacent systems
Ability to lead technical strategy and influence across multiple teams
Experience with languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar (language-agnostic role)
