At Gather and Gather we are passionate about food, coffee and people. We are currently recruiting for a sous chef with inherent leadership capabilities to join our team at St. Stephens green.
This is predominantly a day time role, with weekend work and some evenings required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the kitchen during service, ensuring dishes are prepared to exacting standards
* Menu development, prep planning, and daily operations
* Oversee junior kitchen staff training, mentoring, and supporting them through service
* Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizing
* Uphold rigorous food safety, hygiene, and HACCP protocols
* Help manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and cost control
* Stay calm under pressure and foster team spirit during busy shifts
* To represent Gather and Gather's core values at all times.
* Support the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of our QSHE Management Systems at site level.
* Manage non-conformances and complaints and record centrally.
* Focus on customer needs and expectations.
* Work closely with the GM on operational tasks
