Our client, a leading global company, is looking for a globally business savvy Senior Tax Analyst to join their team in Cork. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional who specialises in VAT/TAX to take on a key role managing the monthly VAT reporting calendar and supporting a team in ensuring accurate and timely filings.
They are looking for a self-starter, knowledgeable and able to use their own initiative and manage the risk to the business, reporting and dealing with auditors.
This is a hybrid role, working 3 days in the office and the company offer flexible working hours and offers a salary of €60,000 - €70,000.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a four-person tax reporting team
* Oversee month-end processes, including VAT account reconciliations and cash management
* Ensure timely responses to VAT Authority queries
* Maintain the VAT control framework for SOX and audits
* Ability to implement process and drive process improvements
* Work with various stakeholders across AP/AR etc., work on e-reporting and mapping the requirements to the different divisions.
* Work on large projects and bring them to completion
* Spot problems and find resolutions
Who They’re Looking For:
* 3+ years VAT experience in multinational environments
* Accounting/Finance degree
* Proficient in Oracle or similar ERP systems
* Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups)
* Strong analytical and interpersonal capabilities
* RPA tools experience, desirable
* Customs/Trade Compliance background, desirable
* Management experience, desirable
