Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (EMEA)
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take the lead on projects across the EMEA region, managing every stage from initial concept through to final client handover. You will drive project delivery while fostering strong, lasting client relationships. The role also involves mentoring and supporting engineering team members, ensuring that all outputs meet high-quality standards prior to handover. A strong working knowledge of CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS, and EN standards, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit, is required.
Key Projects
* Large‑scale hyperscale data centre – full MEP design through to handover of a 26 MW facility with ~9,300 m² of white space.
* Major corporate headquarters – 35,000 m² purpose‑built office with advanced mechanical systems including free‑cooling chillers, CHP, solar PV, and rainwater harvesting.
* Multiple data centre developments across EMEA – over 40 projects delivered, totalling more than 1,400 MW of capacity.
About You
* Honours degree required; chartership is a plus.
* 7+ years’ experience in Data Centres, Industrial, High Tech, Commercial, or Healthcare engineering.
* Strong knowledge of CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS, EN standards.
* Working knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit; experience with other engineering analysis software is advantageous.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
* Experience leading and coordinating engineering teams through successful project delivery.
* Curious about emerging technologies and their application in mechanical design.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical systems design from concept to completion.
* Develop specifications and designs for mechanical building services.
* Ensure continuous design and installation quality control.
* Prepare detailed tender packages, reports, and recommendations.Maintain mechanical design standards.
* Collaborate with design teams and clients to define project scope.
* Lead projects with minimal oversight.
* Mentor and guide engineering staff.
