Early Years Quality and Compliance Professional Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Quality and Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to delivering high-quality, play-based education.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the Service Manager to design and implement an annual internal audit programme that ensures high compliance with regulatory requirements and promotes continuous improvement in quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Service Manager to develop an annual internal audit programme that aligns with regulatory requirements and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
* Conduct regular internal audits in partnership with the full team, identifying areas for improvement and sharing best practices to maintain high standards of practice across the service.
* Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure all staff are knowledgeable, confident, and supported in meeting regulatory requirements through guidance, training, and mentoring.
* Provide coaching and support to room leaders to empower them to lead their rooms with high-quality practice, ensuring consistency with curriculum frameworks and regulatory standards.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to Fire, Health, and Safety.
* Develop a service quality improvement plan based on onsite Pre-school Quality Assessment Audit results, conducted by the National Quality Mentor.
* Ensure staff are informed about policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
* Model and mentor best practice interaction strategies with children.
* Identify gaps in practice and provide targeted support as needed.
* Oversee the implementation of National Quality and Curriculum Frameworks, including Solta and Aistear.
* Provide guidance to Room Leaders and Key Workers on planning and evaluating a curriculum that supports each child's learning and development.
* Monitor and evaluate children's learning journeys to ensure developmentally appropriate outcomes.
* Promote reflective practice among educators, encouraging regular self-assessment and team reflection to improve the quality of care and learning experiences.
* Support and facilitate continuous professional development by identifying training needs, organizing learning opportunities, and mentoring staff to embed new knowledge into practice.
* Ensure the well-being of all children is central in decision-making regarding service delivery.
