Responsibilities
Use an upbeat, outgoing personality to lead, mentor, and guide the team, ensuring the student space runs smoothly.
Take full responsibility of the budget and P&L, and the financial performance of the student space.
Cross all the T’s and dot the I’s, managing costs and maximizing profit for the property.
Follow up on all sales opportunities and ensure the student space is at capacity through short‑term and long‑term lets.
Maintain high standards reflected in the overall presentation of the property, through regular inspections and teamwork.
Handle complaints and provide excellent customer service, turning around any issues.
Use advanced knowledge of safety, security, compliance, and building management to ensure core operating procedures are adhered to, creating a safe, secure home for students.
Develop relationships with key players at local universities, as well as internal and external suppliers.
Manage health and safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, cooperating with the employer on safety matters.
Act as the responsible person for water hygiene, ensuring safe management and compliance of site water systems, arranging remedial actions or water testing following Legionella risk assessments, and maintaining compliance with the Yugo Water Hygiene Management Plan.
Qualifications
Relevant experience running a residence within hotels, hospitality, or student accommodation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain quality relationships.
Experience in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment with a strong focus on sales and marketing.
