Key Responsibilities
* Organise and participate in delivering high standards of evidence-based nursing care.
* Take responsibility for carrying out planned, direct patient care to a high standard without supervision in accordance with established nursing procedures and policies.
* Report any significant changes in a patient's condition or situation to the multidisciplinary team.
* Contribute towards health promotion by providing education, support, and advice as necessary.
* Refer patients to appropriate professionals or agencies when required.
* Escort patients who need assistance to their transport.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times while treating patients with courtesy.
* Ensure provision of a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, relatives, visitors, and colleagues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with current practice license.
* Ideal 2-3 years' experience, including renal experience if possible.
* Completion of training for additional clinical skills required in the unit.
* Able to critically appraise and utilise research to maintain and improve patient care.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English.
* Ability to build good relationships by developing rapport, communicating clearly and accurately, active listening, and empathy.
