Senior Quantity Surveyor
Job Location: Dublin
Sector: Civil A very busy Civil Engineering company currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and assist on current projects.
They work across a range of different sectors, including rail, power, water, civil infrastructure, traffic management and sit development. Our client is looking for a Senior QS with a strong civils background with a qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will bring your expertise and knowledge, to support and assist the team.

The Role Liaise with customers and project managersManagement of commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants and subcontractorsMeasure, price, negotiate and agree budgets and costs for variations to project scopeCheck project costs are correct and raise/resolve queries where necessaryAttend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actionsProduce and maintain up to date procurement schedulesCompile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of ordersCompile subcontract orders for approvalVisit site to measure and value works completedAssess subcontractor payment entitlement and process paymentsCarry out reconciliation of cost and value to date/forecast to keep the management team informed of project performanceWork closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the office and the site, carrying out other duties as requiredAssist in the guidance and development of junior surveyorsOther commercial matters as requiredWhat you need Hold Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction ManagementMotivated, driven and works well within teamProficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word7+ years experienceThe successful candidates will receive an excellent package and genuine career progression.
