Finance Technology Lead Our client a leading Dublin based educational body are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Technology Lead to manage and optimise their finance technology systems.
This senior role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, data integrity, and system integration across multiple financial applications.
The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with deep financial knowledge to deliver robust solutions that support compliance, audit readiness, and institutional objectives.
This role is initially being offered as a two year FTC.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, configuration, and oversight of financial to support accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
Ensure financial technology systems support compliance with taxation requirements (e.g.
VAT, RCT), embedding appropriate controls and processes to meet regulatory obligations.
Oversee financial system reconciliations, audit trails, and controls to ensure data integrity and compliance with statutory and internal audit standards.
Support the annual financial statements audit, liaising with internal and external auditors, and implementing findings promptly.
Collaborate with tax and finance specialists to ensure financial workflows and system configurations align with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
Provide expert guidance to senior finance stakeholders on system capabilities, automation opportunities, and financial process improvements.
Partner with the Continuous Improvement and IT teams to enhance reporting functionality, standardise processes, and introduce automation to improve efficiency and compliance.
Manage and mentor the Finance Technology team, ensuring delivery of high-quality services and supporting their professional development.
About You: You will bring both technical system expertise and strong finance acumen, with the ability to bridge the gap between finance and technology.
You will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance frameworks, combined with hands-on experience in enterprise finance systems.
Ideal experience and competencies include: Proven expertise in financial system administration and configuration Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting standards and audit requirements.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to translate financial requirements into system solutions.
Experience in testing, execution and UAT Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing financial processes, controls, and reporting tools to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Project management experience delivering multiple system enhancements and process improvements.
