About the Role:
This standalone role reports to the Quality Manager in Ferrero Ireland. The key responsibilities include defining and establishing rules and best practices for production based on guidelines from the central team and external organizations, ensuring food safety and quality standards, conducting inspections and audits, implementing control measures, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with hygiene practices.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, FSMA, Ferrero Food Safety and Quality Audits, Self-Assessment Audits)
* Collaborate with other departments on audit activities (e.g., SMETA)
* Plan, execute, and monitor internal audits; train auditors
* Perform cross audits in other Ferrero plants (1-2 per year)
* Monitor Quality KPIs (consumer complaints, non-conformities, glass & hard plastic checks) and collaborate on corrective actions
* Manage CAPA updates and follow-up actions
* Update HACCP plans using risk analysis, manage the food safety team
* Coordinate Environmental Monitoring Plans and collaborate on their implementation
* Maintain traceability systems and conduct simulation exercises
* Coordinate Patrol Walks
* Conduct training sessions on Food Safety, GMP, PRPs
* Establish rules based on Ferrero guidelines, external standards, and legislation
* Draft manuals and procedures; manage plant quality documentation
* Supervise external contractors (pest control, cleaning, calibration)
* Handle purchasing related to food safety activities
* Manage food safety projects
* Ensure coverage of all roles through substitution when needed

* Minimum 5 years of experience
