We are currently seeking a skilled professional to oversee the management of road maintenance contracts with local authorities. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering, road servicing or quantity surveying and be able to manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, costs, crews and materials for each project.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee site operations
2. Manage site resources (labor, materials, equipment)
3. Coordinate sub-contractors and suppliers
4. Ensure work aligns with project plans, specifications and schedules
5. Monitor progress and update senior management
6. Enforce health and safety protocols
7. Conduct site inspections and address safety concerns
8. Ensure quality standards are met and address issues
9. Maximize productivity, minimize waste and track costs
10. Liaise with clients, engineers and stakeholders
11. Lead site meetings and collaborate on budgets and cost control
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
2. 5+ years of construction management experience, with a focus on road projects
3. Strong proficiency in project management tools
4. Full driving license is essential
