Sky Staffing Solutions is hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Kitchen Porter based in County Mayo. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual to support the smooth operation of a busy kitchen. The ideal candidate will be organised, efficient, and committed to maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards.
As a vital member of the kitchen team, you will assist with cleaning, basic food prep, and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for food service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, surfaces, and storage areas
* Wash and sanitise all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
* Assist with basic food preparation under the direction of chefs
* Manage waste and recycling in accordance with kitchen protocols
* Ensure all cleaning schedules are followed and documented
* Report any equipment faults or safety concerns to management
* Comply with health and safety regulations, including HACCP standards
* Support kitchen team with additional tasks as required
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential
* Strong work ethic and attention to detail
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Flexible to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude
