About the Role:

We are currently seeking to fill the position of Resident Engineer – Civil for a regional-based role in County Westmeath, Ireland. Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of the site supervision team on water and wastewater infrastructure projects within a rapidly growing Irish-owned company. The role requires efficient procedures and adaptability in a changing business environment.

The successful candidate will be an integral member of our team, working with staff to ensure the highest quality standards in all activities and services provided to clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Liaison and management of the Resident Engineers' Team members.
* Reporting to the Employer’s Representative.
* Managing contractual matters on-site related to the works.
* Coordinating contract interfaces.
* Liaison with stakeholders.
* Assessing contractor claims and preparing reports.
* Evaluating contractor payment applications against work completed.
* Monitoring contractor performance against contractual KPIs.
* Reviewing contractor submissions and providing clear comments.
* Reviewing contractor design submissions against employer requirements.
* Supervising works, maintaining records, measuring, and managing contractual documentation.
* Performing other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

* Degree in Civil Engineering.
* Satisfactory knowledge of civil engineering works, building construction, and project management.
* Minimum of 7 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 5 years in on-site supervision, contract administration, and project management of civil works.
* Experience in constructing water/wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, pumping stations, deep excavations, marine outfalls, or similar.
* Ability to write clear reports and maintain work records.
* Proficiency in computer use for document handling and report production.
* Full Clean Driving License.
* Satisfactory knowledge of construction contracts.
* Attention to detail and compliance with Quality Assurance Systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
* Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
