Catering Supervisor

Location: The Green Kitchen at the GPO Museum, Dublin City Centre

Position: Full-time (flexibility required)

The Green Kitchen is a social enterprise café committed to great food, quality service and positive community impact. We are opening a new deli counter style café at the GPO Museum and are now recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor to play a key role in its day-to-day operation.

This is a hands-on, all-rounder role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example and working as part of a small, dedicated team in a busy visitor-focused environment.

The Role

The Catering Supervisor will oversee the daily running of the café and deli counter, ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, customer service and team support. You will work closely with management while remaining fully involved in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervising the daily operation of the café and deli counter
* Food preparation and service to a high standard
* Providing friendly, professional customer service
* Barista duties and coffee service
* Cash handling, tills and end-of-day procedures
* Stock ordering, stock control and waste management
* Managing, supporting and motivating a small team
* Ensuring HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards are met
* Opening and closing duties as required

The Ideal Candidate

* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a café, deli or catering environment
* Strong food preparation and customer service skills
* Confident barista experience
* Experience with cash handling and stock ordering
* Organised, dependable and comfortable multitasking
* A positive leader who enjoys supporting and developing others
* Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends
