We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Automation Technician to join our
growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing,
and repair of automated gate systems (including sliding, swing, and barrier systems) for
residential, commercial, and industrial clients across Ireland.
This is a field-based role requiring strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, problemsolving skills, and a customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, commission, and test gate automation systems, including motors, control boards, intercoms, access control, and safety devices.
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs and maintenance on a variety of gate automation systems.
* Conduct regular preventative maintenance visits in line with service schedules.
* Work with low-voltage electrical systems, basic networking (IP-based systems), and mechanical components
* Ensure installations comply with EN safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
* Maintain accurate records of work carried out, parts used, and time taken.
* Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on-site.
* Adhere to all health and safety protocols and company policies.
Requirements: Essential -
* Proven experience in gate automation or similar electro-mechanical field (e.g., access control, security systems, electrical maintenance).
* Fluent spoken and written English.
* Full clean Irish or EU driving licence.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
Desirable -
* Knowledge on intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems.
* Relevant electrical or mechanical qualification (e.g., QQI Level 5/6 or trade certification).
* Knowledge of EN12453 and EN12445 safety standards.
* Experience with brands such as FAAC, BFT, CAME, NICE, DEA, or similar.
* Experience with access control systems, CCTV, or intercom integration.
* IPAF/MEWP licence (cherry picker/boom lift).
* Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.

Working Hours:
